2nd Ave E To Downtown Detour

Ongoing work on 2nd Ave East between 2nd and 3rd Streets will force all “To
Downtown” Green Line, 105, and 106 currently using 3rd St to 2nd Ave E to detour
as outlined below. Although the road is open to public traffic, the narrowing of the
road makes it difficult for a bus to maneuver through the required turns.

Green Line, 105, and 106 (To Downtown): From 3rd St and 2nd Ave E detour by
continuing Straight on 3rd St to Lake Ave and turning left, following Lake Ave to 2nd
St and turning left, follow 2nd St to 2nd Ave East and turn right back onto current 2nd
Ave E detour.

We do not have a clear estimated completion date at this time, but we expect it to
last at least until Friday July 26th or possibly the rest of the month.

Catlin Ave sidewalk/curb project

Considerations for stops affected by sidewalk work in Superior WI on Catlin Ave
CLICK FOR DETAILS CLICK FOR LESS

On Tuesday, July 16th a sidewalk and curb replacement project began on Catlin Ave in Superior, WI between 21st and 28th St. This project does not require a detour, but due to shoulder closures we will need extra care while serving stops in the affected area. Route 111 will maintain service at these stops near as they safely can to any established stop and board & alight passengers from the driving lane as needed. Drivers and riders alike should use extra care in the affected area. Riders should avoid any exposed earth and fresh paving material in the area due to potential hazards. We ask that riders attempting to board the bus find a safe place near any affected stop if they cannot reach the stop itself and to wave for the driver. Please wait for the bus to come to a complete stop and fully knelt before approaching.

This project is expected to last until the last week of July or first part of August.

Woodland Avenue Construction Detour Now through August 31st

Woodland Avenue Construction Detour Now through August 31st

Effective immediately, the project on Woodland Ave is underway. Construction
contractors will allow DTA buses to travel through the area to reach areas north of
Anoka St during the entire project including during the time that Woodland will be
closed from St. Paul Ave to Anoka St.

This project as outlined won’t generate a detour, but it will impact routes 103 and 112
as outlined below.

Given the hazardous zone created by the project, DTA will be periodically unable to
use multiple stops on Woodland Ave from Snively to Anoka St until we have been
informed otherwise.

At the time of writing, we can use stops from Woodland towards UMD, but we must
deem the other direction temporarily closed. Drivers can use extreme caution and
careful judgement to allow for drop offs where it is safe to do so on the “From UMD”
side at this time.

We are working with the contractors to try to maintain some consistent access at the
intersection of Oxford St and Woodland Ave. This may or may not be feasible, so
please watch for updates about this project.
The project is scheduled to last until September.
