Wild Santa Race Detour 9am to noon on Saturday Dec. 13 (Blue, 103, 107, 108, and 1.)

The Wild Santa race will close W Superior St from 27th to just west of 19th Ave W and Michigan plus Lower Michigan from 24th to M&H.

We will use nearside corners along W 1st St as temp stops during the detour and will return to regular route as soon as the roadway has reopened.

Passengers: The detour will be 21st Ave W to W 1st St to 19th Ave W to Superior St and the reverse with temp stops on nearside corners as mentioned above just along 1st St. Please be aware that we will return to regular route around noon as soon as the roadways have reopened. Also, of note that this affects all routes that roll through Lincoln Park, i.e. Blue, 103, 107, 108, and 1.

Route 110/111: Bus stops on Tower Ave have re-opened

Service Alert:

Route 110/111 Detour ending immediately:

The project on the Southbound side of Tower has reopened lanes until work will resume in the Spring of 2026. We will resume service at both stops on 16th and Tower effective immediately.

Detour Resource Reminder: Tools to get accurate information on detours and other service modifications

Detour Resource Reminder:
We have had a few folks reach out about detours not showing up in our mobile apps or trip planning tools.
Currently, we can only modify routes on these tools 4 times a year when we are updating the system to include changes to the work our Bus Operators perform, and changes to the routing.
We are in the midst of upgrading some software to allow real time changes to the system to be shown in these tools, and aim to include that feature in the near future.
In the mean-time, our “Service Alerts” page at www.DuluthTransit.com is the primary resource for information on detours and temporary routing changes.
Additionally, closed bus stops will have a QR code that will bring you to the Service Alerts page detailing detours and providing maps in most cases.
Further, the Transit app will show an alert that there is modified service on a route you have selected (see screenshot) which will indicate that there is likely a detour or change to the route.
At the bottom of that page you can also sign up for e-mail alerts which will keep you informed of these changes as they occur.
In most cases, there is also signage to indicate temporary stops along detours, and/or signage that outlines the nature of the detour.
We appreciate your patience as we all navigate a particularly challenging detour season, and look forward to offering even more resources to get the latest information as we move forward.
