THANKSGIVING DAY GOBBLE GALLOP DETOUR
On Thursday, November 23, Thanksgiving Day – the Gobble Gallop foot race will close
Superior Street between 10th Avenue East and 5th Avenue West. The races will start at
9:00 a.m. and end at approximately 11:00 a.m. During this time, all DTA Operations will
move to 1st Street for both eastbound and westbound trips. Operations will resume at DTC
upon the reopening of Superior Street.
All buses in the Downtown area between these hours, will detour along 1st Street as
follows:
EASTBOUND: Via regular route to Superior Street and Mesaba Avenue, then detour via
Mesaba Avenue to 1st Street, to Lake Ave (Routes 104 & 114) or to 3rd Avenue East (all
other routes).
Routes 101 & 103 will then detour via left on 3rd Avenue East to 2nd Street to 12th
Avenue East to Superior Street and regular route.
WESTBOUND: Via regular route to 3rd Avenue East and 1st Street, then detour by
continuing west on 1st Street, left on 5th Avenue West, right on Superior Street and regular
route.
Routes 101 & 103 will detour via right on 12th Avenue East to 3rd Street to 3rd
Avenue East to 1st Street and then the above detour routing.
Routes 104 & 114 will detour from Lake Ave down to 3rd St, right on 3rd St to 4th Ave
West turn left, down to 1st St turn right onto 1st St to follow above Westbound detour
routing.
