On Sunday, September 1st, from 10:30am until 1:30pm, the Duluth Superior Pride Parade will be held along Tower Avenue from Belknap Street to Broadway Street in Superior Wi. During this time Route 111 buses will need to detour as follows:
Route 111 From Downtown Superior:
Layover on Banks Avenue facing south (facing Belknap Street) between Broadway and Winters Streets, then run Banks Avenue to Belknap Street, turn left and continue along Belknap Street on regular route.
Route 111 To Downtown Superior:
Run regular route to Belknap Street and Tower Avenue, then detour by continuing along Belknap Street to Banks Avenue, turn right and run to Broadway Street (NOTE: If traffic doesn’t allow for a safe right turn onto Banks buses may alternatively go straight through the stop lights and take the curved exit immediately passed the stop lights to the right onto Oakes Ave behind Kwik Trip, if they do this they will then turn right onto 14th St, followed by a left onto Banks Ave), turn left onto Broadway St and run to Oakes Avenue, turn right and run to Winter Street, turn right and run to Banks Avenue, turn right and layover along Banks.
We will treat any nearside corner on Banks Ave between 14th St and Broadway St as a temporary stop during the parade
We will stay on Tower Ave until the closures for the parade, and we will resume service on Tower once the parade closure has concluded.
