Significant Detour Alert: Christmas City Parade Friday, November 21st

The Christmas City of the North Parade will be held once again on Friday, November 21^st.  Superior Street between 10^th Avenue East and 5^th Avenue West will be blocked to all traffic at approximately 5:45 PM and will remain closed until the completion of the parade at approximately 8:15 PM. When the parade has cleared, we will resume regular routing.

To be clear about the impacts of these detours, all routes that go through Downtown WILL be late outside of the area during the parade and until things clear up. Outside of the center of downtown, the Transit App will provide the most accurate information on the location of buses during that time.

ALL BUSES SCHEDULED DURING THIS TIME PERIOD IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA WILL DETOUR AS FOLLOWS.

The map below shows an overview of the routing during the parade.  Note that the blue and green lines on the map show 5 routes sharing routing to 6th avenue east, at which point green 105 and 106 go up 6AE on regular route,  and 103/Blue continue on and use the detour to points further East (shown on more  detailed 2nd and 3rd maps).  

WHILE DETOURED BUSES WILL USE ALL NEARSIDE CORNERS ON 1^ST ST AS BUS STOPS.

Blue and 103 Eastbound: From Superior St and Mesaba Ave, go up Mesaba, turn right on 1^st St, take 1^st St to 3rd Ave East turn left and follow to 2^nd St and turn right, follow 2^nd St to 12^th Ave E and turn right, take 12^th Ave to 1^st St and turn left, take 1^st St to 13^th Ave E and turn right down to Superior St turn left onto regular route.

Blue and 103 Westbound: From 12^th Ave East and Superior St turn right up 12^th Ave East to 3^rd St turn left, take 3^rd St to 3rd Ave East and turn left. Take 2^nd Ave E to 1^st St and turn right. Take 1^st St to 5^th Ave West turn left down to Superior St turn right. Resume regular route.

Green To Mall: Layover at M&H turnaround. From M&H take Superior St to Mesaba, to 1^st St., take 1^st St to 3rd Ave East. Turn left up 3r^d Ave and resume current detour route.

Green To Downtown: from 3rd Ave East and 1^st St turn right onto 1^st St. go on 1^st St to 5^th Ave West turn left. Change sign code to AC “Not In Service”, go to Superior St turn right. Politely announce that the stop by the Incline Station is your last stop and alight any remaining passengers before continuing on Superior St to M&H turnaround and layover there.

110 into 104: From Superior and Mesaba go up Mesaba to 1^st St take 1^st St to Lake Ave, turn left onto Lake Ave to resume regular route.

104 into 110: From 4^th St and Lake Ave, take Lake Ave down to 3^rd St turn right. continue on 3^rd St until 4^th Ave West turn left down go to 1^st St turn right go to 5^th Ave West turn left, go to Superior St turn right. Resume regular route.

105 into 107: From 2^nd Ave East continue on 2^nd Ave E to 1^st St turn right, take 1^st St to 5^th Ave West turn left, go to Superior St turn right. Resume regular route.

107 into 105: from Superior and Mesaba go up Mesaba to turn right on 1^st St., take 1^st St to 2^nd  Ave East, turn left. Resume current detour route.

106 into 113: From 2^nd Ave East turn right onto 1^st St, take 1^st St to 5^th Ave West, take 5^th Ave West to NB I-35 Lake Ave Exit to Canal Park Drive and regular route.

113 into 106: Via regular route to Lake Ave south and Railroad St, then run via left on Railroad St, take Railroad St, then run via left on Railroad St to 5^th AW viaduct, take 5^th Ave West to 1^st St turn right take 1^st St to 2^nd Ave East turn left to resume current detour route.

108 into 114: From Superior and Mesaba to 1^st St, take 1^st to Lake Ave turn left on Lake Ave to resume regular route.

114 into 108: From 4^th St and Lake Ave, take Lake Ave down to 3^rd St turn right. continue on 3^rd St until 4^th Ave West turn down go to 1^st St turn right go to 5^th Ave West turn left, go to Superior St turn right. Resume regular route.

109 to Downtown: From I-35 exit take Mesaba Ave to 2^nd St, take 2^nd St to 4^th Ave West turn right. Turn right onto 1^st St, alight passengers on 1^st St before turning left onto 6^th Ave West. Layover next to Incline Station on 6^th West. (if passengers request alighting next to Incline please oblige)

109 to Proctor: Please allow passengers to board at the layover location. Depart from Layover and turn right on Superior St and resume regular routing, but do not depart until approximately 2-5 minutes passed standard DTC departure time on run card.
