On Sunday, September 1st, the city of Superior will host the Duluth Superior Pride Parade. The parade will close parts of Broadway Street and Tower Avenue between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., and will force DTA Routes 16 and 17 to detour for a short time. Transfers that normal occur between Routes 16 & 17 at Tower Avenue and 14th Street will occur at Hammond Avenue and 12th Street during the detour.
Detours will be as follow:
Route 16 From Duluth: Buses will take regular route to Broadway St. and Hammond Ave., then detour via turning left on Hammond Ave. to Belknap St., turn left on Belknap St. and back to regular route.
Route 16 To Duluth: Reverse of Outbound routing.
Route 17 To Downtown Superior: Buses will take regular route to Tower Ave. and Belknap St. then detour via turning right on Belknap St. to Hammond Ave., turn left on Hammond Ave. to Winter St., turn right on Winter St. to Cumming Ave., turn right on Cumming Ave. and back to Broadway St. This is where buses will layover.
Route 17 From Downtown Superior: From Broadway St. buses will turn left on Hammond Ave. to Belknap St., turn right on Belknap St. to Tower Ave., turn left on Tower Ave. and return to regular route.
