Route 8 and 9MT Detour – May 26th thru 28th 2020

Effective Tuesday, May 26^th, road work on 24^th AW between 10^th and 11^th St. will close 24^th AW for a period of 3 days. DTA Routes 8 and 9MT will the detour as follows during this time:

OUTBOUND “From Downtown”: Regular route to 21^st AW and 2^nd St., then detour via right on Hwy 53 on ramp, Hwy 53 to Piedmont Ave. Route 9 buses not scheduled to LSC will turn left on Piedmont Ave. and regular route. Route 8 buses will continue on Trinity Rd. to LSC.

Passengers that need to go further west along 3rd Street will need to exit the bus at 21st Avenue West and 1st Street or use another route that serves West 3rd Street and Grand Avenue. Passengers that would’ve exited the bus along 24th Avenue West must also exit the bus at 21st AW and 1st Street or alternately have the option to exit the bus at stops along Trinity Road or Piedmont Avenue.

INBOUND “To Downtown”: Route 9 buses from Piedmont layover will run regular route to Piedmont Ave. and 24^th AW, then detour via straight on Piedmont Ave. to Hwy 53 (Trinity Rd), then detour via right on Hwy 53 to 10^th St., right on 10^th St. to 24^th AW, left on 24^th AW and regular route. Buses coming from LSC will run regular route to Trinity Rd. and Piedmont Ave., then detour straight on Hwy 53 to 10^th St., right on 10^th St. to 24^th AW, left on 24^th AW and regular route.

Inbound bus stops along 24th Avenue West from 10th Street to 3rd Street, and bus stops along 3rd Street from 24th Avenue West to 21st Avenue West will continue to be served during this time.
