Due to the Tall Ships and Blues Fest events occurring in the Bayfront area this weekend and early next week, Harbor Drive will be closed to all traffic between Friday, August 9th, and Tuesday, August 13th. Also, on Sunday, August 11th, Canal Park Dr. will be closed from Buchanan St. to the Marine Museum including Morse St. for the Parade of Sails. This closure is expected to last from 8:00a until approximately 1:00p. Significant traffic delays are to be expected.
Due to these events, Route 19 Port Town Trolley will be forced to detour. The detours will be as follows.
GENERAL DETOUR ROUTING FRIDAY – TUESDAY
To Downtown: Regular route from Morse St. to Railroad Street and Harbor Drive, then detour by continuing along Railroad Street to the entrance ramp to 5th Avenue West. From 5th Avenue West run to Superior Street and regular route to DTC.
From Downtown: No detour. Regular Route
PARADE OF SAIL DETOUR – SUNDAY 8:00a-1:00p
From Downtown: Regular route to Lake Ave., then run Railroad Street to the entrance ramp to 5th Avenue West. From 5th Avenue West run to Superior Street and regular route to DTC.
