Route 15 “Park Point” will again begin providing service Monday, July 20th. Due to road construction along Lake Avenue between Superior Street and Canal Park, and due to disrepair of the parking lot turn around at 49th Street near the end of Park Point effective Monday, July 20th Route 15 “Park Point” buses will detour as follows:
FROM DOWNTOWN: From DTC buses will run Michigan Street to 1st Avenue West, right on 1st Avenue West to the Freeway Frontage Road, right on Freeway Frontage Road To 5th Avenue West, left on 5th Avenue West to Railroad Street ramp, right on Railroad Street to South Lake Avenue, right on South Lake Avenue and regular route.
TO DOWNTOWN: Buses will run regular route to South Lake Avenue and Railroad Street, then detour by turning left on Railroad Street to Harbor Drive, left on Harbor Drive, following around the DECC to 5th Avenue West, from 5th Avenue West right on Michigan Street to DTC.
PARK POINT 49TH LAYOVER DETOUR: Buses that provide service to the 49th Street parking lot near the end of Park Point will instead use the boat ramp parking lot across the street on the right just past the restrooms. A temporary bus stop has been placed in the parking lot.
The duration of these detours is unknown at this time.
