JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION DETOUR JUNE 19th:
On Wednesday June 19th, 2024 The Duluth NAACP will be hosting a Juneteenth
Celebration on 4th St between Lake Ave and 1st Ave E from 3pm to 7pm. This will close
this block from approximately 2:30pm to 7:30pm and will cause Route 104 and 114 to
detour during the event. Of note is the partial and temporary opening of crossing 3rd St
on 1st Ave East during this event which will accommodate DTA detours.
UPDATE: Due to recent storms construction crews were unable to open 1st Ave
East to accommodate our intended detour. Please observe new detours below.
Changes in bold:
Route 104 (To UMD): From Lake Ave and 1st St maneuver to the right lane to turn right
onto 2nd St. Continue to 6th Ave East and turn left onto 6th Ave E and take to 4th Street
and turn right onto 4th St to regular route.
Route 104 Inbound (To Downtown): From 4th Street and 6th Ave East turn left and
proceed to 3rd St, turn right. Take 3rd St to Lake Ave turn left back to regular route.
Route 114 (To Observation Hill): From Lake Ave and 1st St maneuver to the right lane
to turn right onto 2nd St. Continue to 6th Ave East and turn left onto 6th Ave E and
take to 4th Street and turn left onto 4th St follow 4th St to 4th Ave E and turn right onto
to regular route.
Route 114 (To Downtown): No detour needed.
