This Detour is complete – We are returning to Regular Route Effective Immediately.
Due to the continued closure of the 40th Avenue West/I-35 overpass and the planned closure of the 27th Avenue West ramp to Northbound I-35 on Monday, June 3rd, inbound Route 109 buses will need to use a new detour. This detour will cause the portion of inbound Route 109 from Ramsey Street to 40th Avenue West to be missed, including all of Mike Colalillo Drive.
The detour will be as follows:
Route 109:
From Downtown:
Regular Route. No detour.
To Downtown:
Buses will run regular route to Ramsey Street and Mike Colalillo Drive, then detour by turning right on Mike Colalillo Drive and run to Central Avenue, turn left on Central Avenue and run to the onramp to I-35 Northbound, I-35 NB to Mesaba Ave/Superior Street exit, and regular route to DTC.
Passengers who previously boarded on the inbound side of Mike Colalillo Drive to get downtown will need to walk to Grand Avenue to board a bus or take an outbound Route 109 trip, exit on Grand Avenue and transfer to a Blue Line or Route 103 bus heading to downtown.
Inbound Route 109 will return to regular route once the 40th Avenue West overpass reopens allowing buses to access northbound I-35.
