Morgan Park Detour – Wednesday July 12th-Saturday, July 15th:
During this time the second entrance to Morgan Park (Idaho Street) will be closed to all traffic for road reconstruction and paving from Wednesday, July 12th thru Saturday, July 15th. Traffic will only be able to enter and exit Morgan Park via the first entrance, 88th Avenue West, also known as Arbor Drive.
Route 2 buses will detour as follows:
Route 2 From Downtown:
Regular route into Morgan Park via 88th Avenue West. At the end of 88th Avenue West where the route turns right onto Idaho Street, there is a turn-around area. Turn the bus around and run 88th Avenue West back to Grand Avenue, turn left and run regular route to New Duluth. (see map)
Route 2 To Downtown:
Regular route to Commonwealth and Idaho Street, then detour by continuing along Commonwealth Avenue (Changes into Grand Avenue) to the 88th Avenue West/Arbor Street entrance to Morgan Park. Turn right and run to the end of 88th Avenue West where the route turns right onto Idaho Street, there is a turn-around area. Turn the bus around and run 88th Avenue West back to Grand Avenue, turn right and regular route to downtown. (see map)
Passengers on Idaho Street past the turn-around area will need to access buses along 88th Avenue West. Buses will not serve any stops along Idaho during the road closure.
