Effective Monday, June 19th, 1st and 2nd Streets will be closed at 1st Avenue East. Most downtown bus routes will be unaffected by these closures, although some trips that start out at downtown layover locations or use 2nd Street between Lake Avenue and 3rd Avenue East may miss a select number of bus stops prior to reaching the Duluth Transportation Center (DTC).
Examples of this include:
Route 16 that begins service at 2nd Street and 1st Avenue East. These trips will now begin service at DTC.
Route 11 and 11M that begin service at 3rd Street and 1st Avenue East. These trip will now begin at the Incline Station on 6th Avenue West. Routes 11 and 11M that started at UMD and serve 3rd Street will not be affected.
Routes 10 and 14W that provide service along 3rd Avenue East on the way inbound to DTC will now continue on Lake Avenue directly to Superior Street inbound prior to reaching DTC. No service at the Greysolon or Casino bus stops prior to DTC. Routes 10H, 12, 13 will continue to serve 3rd Avenue East, as per normal.
These change will be effective until 1st and 2nd Street reopen in September.
