DULUTH, MINNESOTA (April 4, 2019) – The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) will detour Bus Routes 6, 7, 10H, 11, 12, 13, 20, 22 traveling to-and-from the Duluth Transportation Center (DTC) effective Monday, April 8, 2019. This detour is due to Phase II of the Superior Street Reconstruction Project. The initial stage of Phase II will close Superior Street from Lake Avenue to just west of 3rd Avenue East. This detour will last until the initial stage of Phase II is completed. The DTA will update this Superior Street reconstruction detour once the second stage of Phase II begins causing the closure of 3rd Avenue East.

The initial DTA detour for Phase II of the Superior Street Reconstruction project will be as follows…

Outbound (From DTC) to Routes 6, 7, 10H, 11, 12, 13, 20 & 22:

Regular route to Superior Street and Lake Avenue then detour via left on Lake Avenue to 2nd St., right on 2nd St. and back to regular route.

Route 22:

Detour routing to 2nd St. and 3rd Ave. E. then down 3rd Ave. E. to Superior Street and back to regular route.

Inbound (To DTC) from the east:

All buses using 3rd Ave. E. will detour via regular route to 3rd Ave. E. and 1st St., then continue on 1st St, (or right on 1st St. if coming down 3rd Ave. E. from 3rd St.) to 2nd Ave. W., left on 2nd Ave. W. to Superior Street, right on Superior Street and then regular route to DTC.

Route 22: Regular route to 3rd Ave. E. and Superior Street then 3rd Ave. E. to 1st St. and detour routing.
