The DTA's mission is to provide a public transit service that is safe, convenient, efficient and affordable.
Major Transit Hubs
Duluth Transportation Center (DTC)
Located in downtown Duluth at 228 West Michigan Street, the DTC is the DTA’s main transit hub.
It features amenities for passengers such as bathrooms, benches, water fountains and a Transit Vending Machine (TVM).
Route and schedule information is also available near the Information Booth which is staffed from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekdays, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30am to 6:00pm.
The DTC hours are: Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Third Avenue East Transit Hub
Located inside the parking ramp entrance on 3rd Avenue East between 1st Street and Superior Street, it is open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily and features an indoor waiting area with route and schedule information posted. This major transit hub is a convenient transfer location for many DTA eastbound bus routes. PLEASE NOTE: The Third Avenue East Transit Hub is locked from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday through Sunday and is inaccessible during this time.
Miller Hill Mall Door Eight Transit Hub
Located to the left of Dick’s Sporting Goods, the Mall Door 8 transit hub features an indoor waiting area, a Transit Vending Machine (TVM), a full display rack of DTA passenger hand schedules, and a digital sign with updates. Four DTA bus routes provide service to this transit hub where passengers can transfer for FREE on to Arrowhead Transit buses traveling to Hermantown.
UMD Kirby Plaza Transit Hub
Located on the University of Minnesota – Duluth Campus, the UMD Kirby Plaza Transit Hub features an indoor waiting area, a full rack of passenger hand schedules, and a transit system map posted. This transit hub is in a convenient location for passengers who would like to transfer onto bus routes traveling to the mall, lakeside or downtown Duluth.
