The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) provides regular-route service to Duluth, Proctor and Superior, WI. Para-transit service for people with disabilities is also offered through STRIDE in these same service areas. The DTA operates 33 unique variations of 18 different color-coded routes. Riding the DTA is convenient for most residents in the Twin Ports because 80 percent of the population lives within walking distance of a bus stop. The mission of the DTA shall be to provide public transit service that is safe convenient, efficient and affordable.

Jefferson Lines serves the Duluth-Twin Ports community through three daily departures to-and-from Minneapolis with added destinations to the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport and the Mall of America. While offering same-day travel to the Iron Range and Twin Cities, Jefferson Lines also partners with other bus companies to connect you to thousands of destinations across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. If you’re looking for safe, affordable, and convenient bus travel from Duluth, look no further than Jefferson Lines.


Arrowhead Transit provides public transportation to all eight counties of the Minnesota Arrowhead region and features 7-day a week on-demand service for Virginia, Grand Rapids, Cloquet and Pine City; Monday through Friday on-demand service for International Falls, Grand Marais and Two Harbors; two or three day a week on-demand service for Aitkin, Ely, Floodwood and Moose Lake. They also provide monthly bus service to Duluth and/or Bemidji. Plus, every Tuesday, there is scheduled service from the North Shore to Duluth.


Indian Trails can take you practically anywhere in Michigan or the continental United States and Canada. Every day, they connect thousands of people to their destinations. With daily scheduled routes, passengers can travel throughout Michigan’s Upper and Lower Peninsulas as well as Chicago, Milwaukee and Duluth. You can also connect directly with both the Amtrak and Greyhound national networks.
