Dan Rolland Selected DTA Employee of the Year for 2014

Annual Employee Safety & Recognition Award Breakfast featured Employee of the Year Award presentation.

DULUTH, MINNESOTA (April 10, 2015) – The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) named Dan Rolland as the Employee of the Year for 2014. Dan began working at the DTA as a part-time bus operator in May of 1999 and was promoted to full-time in September of 2000. He was the DTA Employee of the Month in February of 2003 and February of 2014. He was also selected DTA Employee of the Year in 2003.

The Employee of the Year award was given at the 33rd Annual DTA Employee Safety & Recognition Award Breakfast, which was held at the DTA Operating Center on Thursday, April 2, 2015.

The DTA also recognized and commended 62 bus operators and 22 mechanics for achieving a cumulative total of 769 years of accident-free service. The 20-Year Safety Award was presented to Bus Operator, Randy Toland. In 2014, accident-free DTA Bus Operators drove a total of 1,313,532 miles.
