DTA is a Major Sponsor of the 2013 “Boo at the Zoo”
Published: Expires: 10/19/2013
DULUTH, MINNESOTA (October 9, 2013) – The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) is sponsoring the Lake Superior Zoo’s “Boo at the Zoo” event this year. In an effort to alleviate some parking issues and promote riding the bus to young people, the DTA is providing FREE round-trip transportation to the first 500 people who purchase tickets in advance. The DTA will also have a bus onsite and will be giving away FREE pencils to all of the children in attendance.
The DTA’s regular Saturday service along the West Mainline will provide sufficient public transit to the event. Parents and children can now easily get to the “Boo at the Zoo” and not have to worry about finding a parking space. A bus stop is conveniently located on Grand Avenue near the entryway to the Lake Superior Zoo. The DTA’s Route 1, Grand Ave Zoo, will take people directly to the zoo. Route 2, New Duluth, also provides service to the zoo. More details regarding bus schedules and routes to the zoo can be found at duluthtransit.com or by calling 218-722-SAVE (7283). Please note that children under 4 years old ride the bus for FREE.
Tickets to “Boo at the Zoo” are $9 in advance or $10 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the zoo or at any participating Little Store. Adult members of the Lake Superior Zoo are admitted for FREE, as are children under the age of 2 who are not trick or treating. Children 2 and older must purchase a ticket. This offer is available for advance ticket purchases only. Tickets are available upon request while supplies last and are good for transportation to and from the Lake Superior Zoo on October 12, 2013 or October 19, 2013 only.
