Superior Street Detour – Downtown Duluth

Update – Superior Street Reopening Wednesday, June 16th at 5pm

Beginning Wednesday, May 12^th road construction in the downtown area will close the 3^rd Avenue West and Superior Street Intersection. 2^nd Avenue West will re-open and 1^st Avenue West will remain open. Superior Street will remain closed between 1^st Avenue West and 2^nd Avenue West.

DTA Buses will detour as follows:

Buses traveling east into downtown from the west (Inbound Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 11, 16):

Buses will use regular route to Superior Street and 4^th Avenue West, then detour by turning right on 4^th Avenue West to Michigan Street, left on Michigan Street to DTC.

Buses traveling west into downtown from the east (Inbound Routes 6, 7, 10H, 12, 13)

Buses will use regular route to Superior Street and 1^st Avenue East, then detour via right on 1^st Avenue East to 1^st Street, left on 1^st Street to 4^th Avenue West, left on 4^th Avenue West to Michigan Street and DTC.

Inbound Routes 10 and 14W:

Buses will use regular route to Lake Avenue and 3^rd Street, then detour via right on 3^rd Street to 4^th Avenue West, left on 4^th Avenue West to Michigan Street and DTC.

Inbound Route 15:

Buses will use regular route to Lake Avenue and 1^st Street, then left on 1^st Street to 4^th Avenue West, left on 4^th Avenue West to Michigan Street and DTC.

Westbound Routes From DTC (1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, S1, 16)

Buses will turn right onto Michigan Street when departing the interior of DTC and run Michigan Street to 2^nd  Avenue West, turn left and run to 1^st Street, turn left and run to 5^th Avenue West, turn left and run to Superior Street, turn right onto Superior Street and return to regular route.

This detour is expected to last into early June.
