The annual “Proctor Hoghead Festival” will hold a parade on Saturday, August 17th. Portions of Route 109 north of the layover next to Kwik Trip on Boundary Ave will be closed for the parade route from approximately 11am to 2pm. Due to these closures Route 109 will detour as follows:
Depart the Kwik Trip layover approximately 1 to 2 minutes passed the scheduled departure time to accommodate for the shorter path beyond the layover. Follow Boundary Ave passed 5th St/Vinland St to 6th St and turn left, follow 6th St to 1st Ave and turn left, follow 1st Ave to 5th St and turn left, follow to Boundary Ave and turn right. Continue on Boundary Ave until passed 2nd St and resume regular route.
Temporary stops will be placed on Southbound Boundary Ave as the Route 109 doesn’t normally travel that direction.
