Downtown Duluth Days Detour 2025 (All Routes through Superior Street Downtown Duluth are impacted)

Downtown Days (formerly known as Sidewalk Days) will be held on Wednesday, Thursday, July 9th & 10th. There is a rain-date of Friday July 11th for the Car Show scheduled for Wednesday night. If the rain date is utilized, we will follow the same “Base” detour outlined below during the rescheduled car show from 3:30pm to 8:30pm on Friday.

The Downtown Days block party is a less extensive detour outlined below the base detour. It is for Thursday from 5:30pm to 9:30pm, and it will only impact Blue Line and Route 103. We will once again welcome passengers at any nearside corner on 1st St during these detours. Please be watchful for potential riders.

Base Downtown Days Detour: For Wednesday (from 7:30am – 8:30pm), Thursday (from 7:30am – 5:30pm)

Blue Line and 103 Eastbound towards UMD: From 5th Ave West and Superior St detour by turning right on 5th Ave West and take to Michigan St. Turn left onto Michigan St and follow to DTC. After DTC follow Michigan St to 1st Ave West and turn left, take 1st Ave W to 1st St and turn right, follow 1st St to 3rd Ave E and turn right, follow to Superior St and turn left onto normal route.

Blue Line and 103 Westbound from UMD: From Superior St and 3rd Ave East, detour by turning right up 3rd Ave E and follow to 1st St. Turn left on 1st St and follow until 5th Ave W and turn left, take 5th Ave W to Michigan St and turn left. Follow Michigan St to DTC. After DTC turn right onto Michigan St out of DTC and follow Michigan to 1st Ave West and turn right. Take 1st Ave W to Frontage Rd and turn right. Follow Frontage Rd to 5th Ave W and turn right. Follow 5th Ave W to Superior St and turn left onto regular route.

Green Line to Mall: From DTC detour by following Michigan St to 1st Ave West and turn left. Take 1st Ave W to 1st St and turn right, follow 1st St to 2nd Ave East and turn left onto normal detour route.

Green Line from Mall: From 2nd Ave E follow to 1st St and turn right, follow 1st St to 5th Ave W and turn left, take 5th Ave W to Michigan St and turn left. Follow Michigan St to DTC.

110 into 104 (from Superior to UMD) AND 108 into 114 (from Airport to Obs. Hill): From 5th Ave West and Superior St detour by turning right on 5th Ave West and take to Michigan St. Turn left on Michigan St and follow to DTC. After DTC follow Michigan St to 1st Ave West and turn left. Follow 1st Ave West to 1st St and turn right. Follow 1st St to Lake Ave and turn left onto regular route.

104 into 110 (from UMD to Superior) AND 114 into 108 (from Obs. Hill to Airport): From Lake Ave detour by turning right onto 3rd St. Follow 3rd St to 4th Ave West and turn left. Follow 4th Ave W to 1st St and turn right, follow 1st St to 5th Ave W and turn left, follow 5th Ave W to Michigan St and turn left, follow Michigan St into DTC. After DTC turn right onto Michigan St out of DTC and follow Michigan to 1st Ave West and turn right. Take 1st Ave W to Frontage Rd and turn right. Follow Frontage Rd to 5th Ave W and turn right. Follow 5th Ave W to Superior St and turn left onto regular route.

107 into 105 (from Mall to UMD): From 5th Ave West and Superior St detour by turning right on 5th Ave West and take to Michigan St. Turn left on Michigan St and follow to DTC. After DTC follow Michigan St to 1st Ave West and turn left. Take 1st Ave W to 1st St and turn right, follow 1st St to 2nd Ave East and turn left onto normal detour route.

105 into 107 (from UMD to Mall): From 2nd Ave E follow to 1st St and turn right, follow 1st St to 5th Ave W and turn left, take 5th Ave W to Michigan St and turn left. Follow Michigan St to DTC. After DTC turn right onto Michigan St out of DTC and follow Michigan to 1st Ave West and turn right. Take 1st Ave W to Frontage Rd and turn right. Follow Frontage Rd to 5th Ave W and turn right. Follow 5th Ave W to Superior St and turn left onto regular route.

109 to Downtown: From 5th Ave West and Superior St detour by turning right on 5th Ave West and take to Michigan St. Turn left on Michigan St and follow to DTC.

109 to Proctor: From DTC turn right onto Michigan St out of DTC and follow Michigan to 1st Ave West and turn right. Take 1st Ave W to Frontage Rd and turn right. Follow Frontage Rd to 5th Ave W and turn right. Follow 5th Ave W to Superior St and turn left onto regular route.

106 into 113 (from UMD to Park Point): From 2nd Ave E follow to 1st St and turn right, follow 1st St to 5th Ave W and turn left, take 5th Ave W to Michigan St and turn left. Follow Michigan St to DTC. After DTC follow Michigan to 1st Ave West and turn right. Take 1st Ave W to Frontage Rd and turn right. Follow Frontage Rd to 5th Ave W and turn Left. Follow 5th Ave W and turn right onto ramp onto Railroad St before the Aquarium. Follow ramp onto Railroad St and follow to S Lake Ave. Turn right onto S Lake Ave and resume regular route.

113 into 106 (from Park Point to UMD): From S Lake Ave and Railroad St detour by turning left onto Railroad St. Follow until the ramp onto 5th Ave West (before PlayFront Park) and turn left. Follow ramp to 5th Ave W and turn left onto 5th Ave W. Follow 5th Ave W to Michigan St and turn right onto Michigan St. Follow Michigan St to DTC. After DTC follow Michigan St to 1st Ave West and turn left. Take 1st Ave W to 1st St and turn right, follow 1st St to 2nd Ave East and turn left onto normal detour route.
