National Bike to Work Day is Friday, May 15, 2015 and the DTA is offering FREE rides for passengers with bikes.
DULUTH, MINNESOTA (May 12, 2015) – The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) will offer FREE rides to passengers who bring their bicycles with them on National Bike to Work Day this Friday, May 15, 2015. In addition, the DTA will once again provide a bus from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. for bike rack demonstrations at the Lake Superior Plaza located on the corner of Superior Street and Lake Avenue. All DTA buses are equipped with bike racks that accommodate up to two bicycles.
The FREE rides offer is part of the DTA’s Supporting Sponsorship of the 2015 Bus Bike Walk Challenge campaign coordinated by the Healthy Duluth Area Coalition. Throughout the month of May, citizens who take the bus, bike, or walk instead of driving who document their trip on Facebook with a photo or status update using the hashtag #BusBikeWalkDuluth will be entered into a weekly prize drawing. The DTA will also donate two 31-Day Passes to be included in these prize drawings.
