DULUTH, MINNESOTA (September 19, 2013) – The Greater Minnesota Commuter Challenge is a statewide campaign funded through the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) to promote riding the bus, biking or car-pooling to work. This campaign takes place throughout greater Minnesota and provides local transit systems, such as the Duluth Transit Authority (DTA), an opportunity to engage with the business community and promote the benefits of commuting to work on the bus. People interested in taking the Commuter Challenge Pledge can sign-up at http://www.dot.state.mn.us/transit/commuter/form.html.
The DTA has been giving away FREE 31-Day Passes to local businesses that agree to send someone to the Commuter Challenge breakfast event. This FREE event takes place on Wednesday, September 25th from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. at the Radisson Hotel. It will feature presentations by the DTA, MnDOT, VanPool and the Greater Downtown Council.
