DTA to operate FREE holiday service on Thanksgiving Day along with special shuttles to DECC for annual dinner

The Duluth Transit Authority will operate a limited holiday service schedule for regular route and STRIDE services in Duluth on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, along with special shuttle services to the 23rd annual Thanksgiving Dinner at the DECC for selective location in Duluth and Superior.  DTA’s regular route service and shuttle services on Thanksgiving Day will be FREE all day, compliments of National Bank of Commerce. 

Since January 1, 2011, the DTA has provided limited holiday service in Duluth (similar to the Sunday level of service) on all major holidays:  New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas. DTA holiday service, however, is only provided in Duluth and not in Superior, WI.

Holiday service schedules are highlighted on all passenger hand schedule’s Sunday section and on the DTA website – www.duluthtransit.com.

SPECIAL SHUTTLE SERVICE: In addition to regular route services, the DTA will provide direct shuttle services at selective locations in Duluth and Superior, Wisconsin, including: CHUM Drop-in Center, Domiano Center in Duluth and Solid Rock Mission, Clifford Lund, Royalton Manor and center-city bus stop at 14th and Tower Avenue in Superior. (Shuttle schedules have been posted at these locations.)
