Ride the new Hover Bus!

Universal Hovercraft is known around the world for their innovative, high speed hovercraft designs and solutions. The proto-type hover-bus was engineered with performance, safety and reliability in mind. Four-stroke power, quiet operation and efficiency are the backbones of the proto-type design. The hover-bus proto-type has a capacity for 40 passengers. When boarding passengers the hover-bus is suspended just 6 inches above the street for easy boarding. The hover-bus turbo engine runs on a special blend of diesel fuel used in the commercial aircraft industry. The hover-bus is equipped with special safety features that include a parachute for quick emergency stops.

Universal Hovercraft was founded in 1967 by an aeronautical engineer determined to produce hovercraft that were simple to operate, performed well and achieve low operating costs. Universal Hovercraft continually invests in advancing these technologies to bring you the most innovative hovercraft in the world today.

The DTA has applied for a special FTA permit to replace its entire fleet of 65 buses by 2014. More erroneous information will become available on April Fool’s Day 2013.
