DTA to Reopen the Duluth Transportation Center this Saturday, July 1, 2017
Published: Expires: 7/15/2017
DULUTH, MINNESOTA (June 26, 2017) – The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) is reopening the Duluth Transportation Center (DTC) on Saturday, July 1, 2017. DTA bus operations were temporarily relocated on May 1, 2017 to the DTA’s downtown Transit Center East (TCE) located at 214 West Superior Street. This temporary relocation was due to utility upgrades along West Michigan Street that prevented DTA buses from accessing the DTC.
All regular-route DTA bus operations will return to the DTC on Saturday, July 1st. The boarding and alighting that took place at the TCE during the temporary relocation will then be discontinued.
All public hourly and contract parking areas at the DTC will be reopened on July 1st as well. Contract parkers that were temporarily relocated during the closure can access the DTC parking ramp again at 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 1st.
Jefferson Lines and Indian Trails intercity bus services will also return to their normal boarding locations at the DTC on Saturday, July 1st.
The second phase of the Michigan Street construction project which is scheduled to begin on Saturday, July 15, 2017 will have no impact on the DTA’s bus operations or access to DTC parking areas.
