DTA resumes Route 9-LSC afternoon service at Lake Superior College on Monday, August 27

Beginning Monday, August 27, the DTA will resume Route 9-LSC service on three afternoon trips from Lake Superior College – departing LSC for downtown Duluth at 2:02 p.m., 3:02 p.m. and 4:02 p.m. during the week.

These 9-LSC trips are only provided during fall and spring semesters. In addition to Route 9-LSC service, Route 5 buses provide hourly service to LSC on weekdays from 7:29 a.m. to 6:29 p.m.

Lake Superior College joined the DTA’s U-PASS Program in 2001. U-PASS ridership growth at LSC has been phenomenal, with monthly totals from July 2010 to June 2011 as the highest since the program was established. U-PASS ridership at LSC in 2010 totaled 156,986 – an all-time high. U-PASS ridership at LSC for fall semester 2010 was 16,031 – the second highest monthly total since the program began. Ridership at LSC for 2011 is projected to surpass the 2010 total.
