DTA Route and Schedule Changes Go into Effect on Sunday, March 5, 2017
Published: Expires: 3/12/2017
DULUTH, MINNESOTA (February 22, 2017) – The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) will implement operational schedule changes to a limited number of bus routes on Sunday, March 5, 2017. All DTA passenger hand schedules and shelter schedules impacted by these changes have been updated and will be distributed to the public approximately one week before the schedule changes go into effect.
The most significant change taking place on March 5th is the conversion of the Grocery Express bus route that currently runs on Tuesdays and Saturdays to the new Route S1 (Grocery Express). This variation of the DTA’s Route 1 (Lake Superior Zoo) will now provide direct service to Super One in West Duluth with a new bus stop on Bristol Street. Route S1 will make six round trips a day every weekday.
Several routes will also see minor schedule adjustments to improve transfer connections. These include: Route 1, Route 2, Route 6, Route 11, Route 16 and Route 17B. The updated route and schedule information is currently available online at duluthtransit.com.
