Duluth Transit Authority Hires NEW Director of Marketing

Heath Hickok begins new career in Marketing Department at the DTA.
DULUTH, MINNESOTA (May 24, 2013) – The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) has hired Heath Hickok as their NEW Director of Marketing. Hickok is an articulate leader with more than 8 years of professional experience in marketing, advertising, public relations and nonprofit management.
Most recently, he advocated for transportation initiatives in St. Paul as the Program Coordinator at the Minnesota Transportation Alliance (MTA) and the Minnesota Public Transit Association (MPTA). Prior to that, he was the Executive Director of the Lincoln Park Business Group (LPBG). Hickok began his career as a Marketing Manager at Decision Resources, Inc. based out of Boston and went on to become the Marketing Director at the Bayfield Chamber of Commerce.
Hickok is a 1994 Graduate of Duluth Denfeld high school. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from St. Cloud State University (SCSU) with a major in Mass Communications (Advertising) and a minor in Political Science. He has a Master of Arts Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Superior in Communicating Arts. Additionally, he has a Mini Master of Marketing Management from the University of St. Thomas and a Certificate in Nonprofit Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Superior.
“I enjoyed my experience working near the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul, but I’m glad to be back in my hometown,” said Hickok. “I’m looking forward to promoting our new Multimodal Transportation Center under development while continuing to advocate for public transit.”
Hickok served 6 years on the Board of Directors at One Roof Community Housing and was on the Duluth Alcohol, Gambling and Tobacco Commission before moving to St. Paul.
