Port Town Trolley Returns for the Summer on Sunday, June 1st

DULUTH, MINNESOTA (May 30, 2014) – The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) will return the Port Town Trolley to the streets of Duluth for the summer beginning Sunday, June 1, 2014. The Trolley, which circulates every 30 minutes between downtown Duluth, Canal Park and Bayfront Park, operates on a daily basis from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. throughout the summer until Labor Day.

Trolley serves downtown & Canal Park hotels – restaurants - shops & attractions. During the Summer of 2014, the Trolley will operate along Superior Street between Lake Avenue and Sixth Avenue West, along Canal Park Drive and Harbor Drive. The Trolley stops at all downtown bus stops along West Superior Street including: the Holiday Center and Radisson Hotel. The Trolley also serves the Depot Heritage Arts Center & Railroad Museum, Bayfront Park, Great Lakes Aquarium, Vista Fleet Excursion Dock, S/S William A. Irvin, the DeWitt-Seitz Marketplace, Maritime Visitor Center/Aerial Lift Bridge and other locations along Canal Park Drive.

Trolley fare is 50 cents – Trolley Day Passes sold on Trolley for $4. The Trolley fare is 50 cents with children four and under riding free. Unlimited-ride Trolley Day Passes are available for $4 on the Trolley and Downtown Transit Center. Port Town Trolley route and schedule information is available at duluthtransit.com.
