Due to the skywalk construction and closure of Lake Avenue between Superior Street and First Street, the Duluth Transit Authority will detour all westbound buses traveling along Superior Street between Third Avenue East and Second Avenue West onto First Street beginning Tuesday, June 2nd.

DTA buses (Routes 6, 7, 8, 10H, 11, 12, 13, 20) currently returning to downtown on East Superior Street will be detoured onto First Street between Third Avenue East and Second Avenue West, then south on Second Avenue West and west on Superior Street and regular routing.

Eastbound buses, including Route 10H, will not be affected by this detour.

Route 10 Duluth Heights-Mall and Route 14 West 4th Blvd-Eklund-Mall buses departing from downtown will run regular routing to First Avenue West, north on First Avenue West to Second Street, east on Second Street to Lake Avenue and regular routing.

Route 10 Duluth Heights-Mall buses and Route 14 West 4th Blvd-Eklund-Mall buses returning to downtown from the Miller Hill Mall will run regular route to First Street, west on First Street to Second Avenue West, south on Second Avenue West, west on Superior Street and regular routing.

Bus stops will be posted along First Street.

The closure of Lake Avenue between Superior Street and First Street and DTA detour on First Street is expected to continue for seven months.
