Two Port Town Trolleys will Provide Service to Bayfront Festival Park During Fourth Fest

DULUTH, MINNESOTA (June 26, 2013) – In an effort to accommodate the Bayfront Festival Park during the Independence Day Celebration, the DTA will operate twoPort Town Trolleys on its regular route from 12:15 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, 2013 – circulating every 15 minutes between downtown Duluth, Canal Park and the Bayfront Festival Park.

The Trolleys will provide direct service to Bayfront Festival Park during Fourth Fest with a special stop on Railroad Street. However, Harbor Drive will be closed to all traffic during the Fourth Fest and the Trolleys will not be able to serve the Great Lakes Aquarium, the Excursion Dock, the S/S Irvin or Duluth Cinema Theater on July 4th.

The Port Town Trolley fare is only 50 cents per passenger. Unlimited-ride Trolley Day Passes are available for purchase on the Trolleys for only $4. DTA passes and stored value fare cards will also be honored on the Trolleys with children under the age of four riding for FREE.
