DTA Seeks Community Input to Shape Duluth Area Transit Development Plan

DULUTH, MINNESOTA (February 13, 2017) – The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) is pleased to announce that they are updating their Transit Development Plan (TDP). The TDP will comprehensively evaluate the connectivity, performance, and efficiency of the existing transit system while identifying potential for future improvements. The DTA is working to update this important plan now through August of 2017.
A significant part of this TDP is to receive feedback from current and potential DTA passengers through a variety of public engagement activities. One way the DTA is gathering meaningful community input on the study is through a brief survey to help them understand the needs and opportunities for DTA transit service.

All participants who complete the survey will have a chance to win one of two $25 VISA gift cards. Although the responses are anonymous and will only be used to gather data, the DTA is asking you to provide your email address in order to be eligible to win one of two gift cards.
Citizens can assist the DTA with the TDP by doing the following…
- Complete the online survey
- Share the survey with your neighbors, colleagues, other community members in the Twin Ports region
- Attend the public engagement event to share your feedback with study staff
There will be an initial Open House at the Duluth Transportation Center (DTC) on Tuesday, February 21st from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The facility is located at 228 West Michigan Street. Note that activities for children will be available and light refreshments will be provided.
