DTA to Operate Holiday Service During Fourth Fest

Published: Expires: 7/4/2013

DULUTH, MINNESOTA (June 26, 2013) – The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) will operate a limited holiday service schedule for regular route and STRIDE services on Thursday, July 4th.

The DTA introduced the operation of holiday services in Duluth on January 1, 2011 with a Holiday service schedule – similar to the Sunday level of service on all major holidays including July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, New Year’s Day and Memorial Day. Holiday service, however, will only be provided in the City of Duluth; not in Superior, where additional funding for holiday services is not currently available. The DTA will also run two Port Town Trolleys during the Fourth Fest to accommodate the large number of visitors in Duluth.

Holiday service schedules are highlighted on the Sunday section on all passenger hand schedules and on the DTA website at www.duluthtransit.com.
