“Discover Duluth” on the Port Town Trolley this Saturday, June 6th

DULUTH, MINNESOTA (June 3, 2015) – The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) will return the Port Town Trolley to the streets of Duluth for the summer this Saturday, June 6, 2015. Passengers can Discover Duluth on the Port Town Trolley. It circulates every 30 minutes between downtown Duluth, Canal Park and Bayfront Park and operates daily from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. the entire summer through Labor Day.

Beginning June 22nd, the Port Town Trolley will supplement special DTA shuttle service between downtown and the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center (DECC) during reconstruction of the Northwest Passage Skywalk. The DTA special shuttle is FREE, but passengers on the Port Town Trolley will pay a $.50 cent fare.

The Port Town Trolley serves downtown and Canal Park hotels, restaurants, retail shops and attractions. The Port Town Trolley route runs along Superior Street between Lake Avenue and Sixth Avenue West and proceeds to Harbor Drive and Canal Park Drive. The Trolley makes stops at all downtown bus stops along West Superior Street. The following are official Time Points that are listed in the Port Town Trolley’s Daily Schedule: Holiday Center, Radisson Hotel, Depot Museum, Great Lakes Aquarium, Excursion Dock, S/S Irvin Ore Boat and the Maritime Center.

The Port Town Trolley fare is only $.50 cents with children four and under riding for FREE. Unlimited-ride DTA Day Passes are available for only $4 onboard the Trolley and at the Downtown Transit Center. A Port Town Trolley route map with schedule information is available at duluthtransit.com.
